尽管当前全球
碳市场暂处于割裂的状态，国家和地区之间的碳市场互通较为有限。但是未来加强碳市场的国家间合作将成为趋势，碳市场的跨区、跨境连接将有着广阔的发展前景。随着中国经济体量的增长和在国际社会政治话语权的提升，中国已逐渐从全球碳减排的参与国变为主导国，这也意味着中国在应对气候变化的世界舞台上将承担更为重要的责任，并就参与制定双边及多边碳市场规则发出中国的声音。作为负责任的大国和发展中国家的代表，相信中国将在碳市场连接机制的“新生”中扮演更为重要的角色，使跨境
碳排放权交易及碳市场连接机制在“双碳”目标的实现进程中发挥更大的作用。
